It's happened, people. I've finally signed up for my first full marathon! And I figured that if I'm going to be sweating it out through the months of training and the 42 kilometres come race day, I may as well help to raise funds for a very deserving charity - The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.

I was shocked to find out that brain cancer kills more children than any other disease in Australia every year, that the low survival rates haven't risen much at all in the past three decades, and that brain cancer research receives only a small fraction of cancer research funds every year.

I'm stoked to be a part of such a great event as the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival, and to be raising money for a brilliant charity like this one. So come on people - every dollar you can help me raise will make every blister, every aching muscle, and every kilometre more than worth it.

Thanks so much to everybody who has already donated. I've already smashed through my original fundraising goal of $1000 - let's see if we can make that $2500 by race day!!
