Nick's Gutsy Challenge
Story
This September I will be taking part in my first ever MARATHON, this is 42km which is approx. the distance from Sydney harbour bridge to Palm Beach.
I have chosen to take on a "Gutsy Challenge" and fund raise for The GI Cancer Institute in memory of my dad who passed away from Oesophageal Cancer 3.5 years ago. GI Cancer is the most common form of cancer. More than 24,000 Australians are diagnosed with it each year and 33 die from it each day.
I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.

Gastro-Intestinal (GI) cancer is the most common form of cancer claiming a devastating 51 lives each day. At the GI Cancer Institute, our vision is to create a world free from GI cancers. It is thanks to the support of the community that we are able to fund vital clinical trials research to improve quality of life and treatment options for GI cancer patients.
