Story
Team Chan is taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2015 next weekend! Mark, Mel, Ashley, Isabel and Brianna will be doing the 3.5km Family Fun Run over the iconic Harbour Bridge, around the city and finishing at the Opera House steps. It's going to be a great day on our beautiful Sydney Harbour!
While getting fit and staying healthy, we also want to help raise much needed funds for Down Syndrome NSW, for our dear friend Olivia Faith who has been such an inspiration to us. She truly is a little Aussie battler, overcoming health issues these past 4 years and yet continues to be a bright and happy girl who brings so much light and joy into the lives of those she has touched along the way.
We hope to raise some money which will work towards giving people with Down Syndrome the same access to society as everyone else, in areas of health, education, work, family and being part of the community. Down Syndrome NSW
Down Syndrome NSW (DS NSW) exists to champion the right of people with Down syndrome to have the same access to society as everyone else.
This means the same rights to health, education, work, family and being part of the community.We strive to achieve this by supporting people with Down syndrome, their families and carers to be part of a strong and vibrant community that is informed, engaged and active.
DS NSW is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that was established in 1980 by parents of children with Down syndrome. Today DS NSW is still proudly parent run.
